We are very excited to announce our partnership with 2 time Brazilian Champions Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. In 1993 a young rising star by the name of Ronaldo Luis Nazário de Lima began his professional football career with Cruzeiro amassing 12 goals in 14 appearances and leading the club to its first Copa do Brasil Championship. Ronaldo is one of only three men to have won the FIFA Player of the Year award three times and was named as the player of the decade in 2010.
Ten short years later in 2003 Cruzeiro became the only team ever to win the Triple crown of Brazilian Football winning the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the Copa do Brasil, and the Campeonato Mineiro in the same year.
Ten years after this amazing feat during the March Break in 2013, the U12 Futuro team will have the great fortune of travelling to Minas Gerais to spend 10 days in Brazil fully immersing themselves in the day in the life of a Brazilian professional club youth player. During the trip, the Futuro players will eat, sleep, and play alongside Cruzeiro’s youth team players gaining the once in a lifetime opportunity for cross-cultural experiential learning and watching first hand the highest level of technical training in the world.
