Parmar Sports Training is excited to be going into our second year of our partnership with Dovercourt Recreation Centre. For the first two weeks of July we will be running camps Centrally with drop-off & pick-up at the Dovercourt Recreation Facility. From 9am-12pm they kids will train in our High Performance Summer Camp. At noon, the children will have their lunch, and do various activities such as arts/crafts, swimming, and more from 12-4pm! Dovercourt also provides pre & post camp care options if needed.

Our High Performance Summer Camp is designed to help players achieve their maximum potential through progressive exercises that are age appropriate while individually and developmentally challenging. The basic method of training will focus on the technical development of the Four R’s (Receiving the ball, Retaining the ball, Running with the ball, and Releasing the ball). Camps are designed to help players improve their personal level of performance in the technical, tactical and physiological areas of individual development.
Station 1: 1v1 Moves and Turns – Players will learn different ways of using trickery, deception and evasion to get away from the opponent at speed. Station 2:Passing and Receiving – Different ways of receiving the ball on the ground and in the air as well as proper technique for passing the ball at short and medium distances. Station 3:Kicking Techniques – Various methods of releasing the ball will be broken down step by step and rehearsed including driving the ball low and hard, lofting a ball in the air, chipping and bending the ball, volleying the ball out of the air. Station 4: 1v1 and 2v2 Games - Players are taught and coached through offensive game situations. They will learn to use combination play and deception to beat their opponent. Station 5: Small Sided Games - Players will experience a training environment that replicates the real game and will begin to know WHAT to do, WHEN to do it and HOW to do it at the technical and tactical speed that is required in the modern game.
