Testimonials
Kyle Spink, Ottawa Royals Futuro, Competitive
I would like to thank-you and all the coaches for all that Kyle has achieved over the last year. I have seen Kyle mature as a player, take skills from training and apply them in matches. I have watched his enthusiasm and his focus steadily grow and know this really means something to him means a lot, and certainly makes the driving and time invested a lot easier to give. One of the most important things for us when we agreed to accept the invitation for Kyle to join Futuro was not just would you do the things you said you were going to do (which you have), but also whether your academy would instill good values in these boys and you certainly appear to be on the right path. When we broke the news to Kyle about the BMO award going to Ladner he was very sad, I know this experience was full of highs and lows for the kids (and adults). You led these boys by example and built a comradery amongst players, families, and the wider community, this achievement cannot be underestimated – you should deservedly feel proud. While no doubt we all have feelings on the actual result – it is what it is – a bump in a longer journey to bring football to its highest level here in the Nations Capital. We wish you continued success. Thank-you, Andrew
Katie Rea, Futuro U11,
Our daughter Katie is fortunate enough to be part of Sanjeev`s inaugural Futuro program, playing on the U11 Boys team. Above and beyond the excellent technical training that Sanjeev provides, one thing that stands out is how he pushes each and every Futuro player to be the best that he (or she) can be - both on and off the field. That means going beyond the norm by providing a variety of progressive coaching and training methods including intensive skill development, video tactical analysis, physical conditionning, speed and agility training, sports psychology, guest coaches, a focus on academics, and much more. Above all, Sanjeev`s passion for the game shines through, and he is truly dedicated to improving the sport and fostering youth development in the Ottawa region. The players - including Katie - have progressed tremendously in a few short months, and it seems clear to us that the best is yet to come.
Zach Sukunda, Aj Auxerre - France,
Training in a pro club in France makes me realize how helpful the sessions of Sanjeev Parmar were for me last year. I worked with Sanjeev for 2 hours every other day from September to the end of June and it helped me tremendously. He was able to perfect my technique and teach me in so many ways. Sanjeev has also given me opportunities to play in front of various coaches in his University Showcase (Syracuse, St Lawrence, Houghton and many more). Not to mention a Vancouver Whitecaps scout!
Christina Julien (Corky), Canada Womens World Cup & OlympicTeam,
Being on the World stage, you begin to get your weaknesses exploited and being a professional athlete you are always looking for ways to make improvements. After the World Cup I decided to work with Sanjeev. I remember him running a few sessions with the Ottawa Fury Womens Pro Team when I was first selected for the team and I absolutely loved it. We started working with each other after the Womens World Cup and I can honestly say that his quality of training is world class. He is an amazing teacher that knows how to break down technical moves into the smallest details so that they are easier to perform and perfect. Within one training session, I was already working on two or three moves that at first I was having a hard time grasping, by the end of the session, I was at a comfortable level with the moves. He loves what he does and you can feel his passion for the game which is the key to any great coach. Sanjeev has a lot of knowledge and is the type of person who makes an effort to spread it and make the most out of it. He has as much, if not more, technical knowledge as any coach I have ever worked with and is happy to work with kids of all ages.
Morgan Dube, Parmar +20 / Capital United, OYSL
Morgan Dube, 15, has been a Parmar +20 player for the past 5 years. She is currently with Cap U as well as a part time player in an adult league. After her last adult game, the ref walked by and said "Must be a Parmar kid!" Well that sums up what Sanjeev's program can do for your children. Parmar kids get noticed!!
Shari King, Seaway Valley Blazers,
“Sanjeev’s team is to be commended on their professionalism and work ethic with our teams in Cornwall recently. The sessions provided the players with a dynamic approach to various drills that work on specific necessary skills to enhance their playing abilities. The enthusiastic, focused attitude of the instructors provided little leeway for lack of focus from the players… and a sense of pride when congratulated for achieving the necessary skill set being taught. They maintained focus on correct technique, accuracy, then speed… they provided a challenging clinic… commanding authority of which the team responded extremely well too – all the while having fun! The coaches had a front row seat to absorb what was being taught…. so that they can continue it with their team. As a coach and parent… I was thoroughly pleased and impressed with the sessions and would not think twice about enrolling the team again.”
Brogan Engbers, Cumberland Cobras 1999, Parmar +20, Region 5, 2011 Danone Nations Cup Canadian National Team,
Drive and desire must be intrinsic for an athlete. Skill development and opportunity must be nurtured. Brogan was only 5yrs old when he first started working with Parmar Sports Training. Sanjeev and his staff have invested significantly in Brogan's development. The sport of soccer needs to be fun, and at an early age they created an environment of games, silly antics and a passion for the game. As Brogan grew, so did expectations. The fun remained, but the focus shifted to technical and tactical skill development. This intensive training has allowed Brogan to be confident on the ball, patient with his decision making and intentional in his pursuit to be the best he can be. This year Brogan has benefitted even more with the addition of keeper specific training provided by Tania Singfield (arguably one of the best goalkeeper coaches in the country). Sanjeev's commitment to producing smart and skilled players sets him apart as one of the top coaches, available to us right here in our Nations Capital.
Alex Mazet, Capital United 1999 & Parmar Plus 20, Regional
Alex has recently joined Sanjeev’s U 20 Elite 99’s program and I have to say how great this program is! Sanjeev and his coaching staff are doing fantastic work with the kids. They seem to get the most out of the kids with intensity and focus. Sanjeev’s program is getting my son’s passion and commitment for soccer to a new level. I would recommend to any child and parent who want to go to the next level to come to Sanjeev’s programs and see for themselves what the program has to offer.
Junior Sewell, Capital United, 2000 Premier
With the feet of a shaolin master, Sanjeev ignited my son's passion for soccer from hour one. He is able to delicately balance between teaching and demonstrating while maintaining unrelenting passion. Parmar coaches also exude the same enthusiasm, creativity, and expertise that Sanjeev demonstrates on a daily basis. Junior has trained with Parmar for 2 years. He went from a complete soccer novice to trying out for Sanjeev's +20 program this fall. I attribute Junior's rapid development to the innovative and creative instruction given by Parmar staff. Words simply cannot describe the Parmar experience. Sanjeev brings world class innovative soccer techniques to Ottawa's doorstep. Come and join the Parmar nation!
JOSE, GABY, PATRICK & YAMNA, Capital United & Parmar Plus 20, OYSL, Regional, Wee Copas
Our family feels very fortunate to be involved with a soccer academy that provides the highest quality of soccer training and expertise. Since we joined Parmar Sports Training, our children have experienced an amazing improvement in their soccer skills, techniques and ball control. We greatly appreciate Parmar’s commitment to helping our kids develop as soccer players who not only understand what it takes to play the game but also understand the importance of self discipline, commitment, hard working, exercising, healthy eating and last but not least “love and passion for the game”. Having this soccer academy in town offering the highest level of training like the pros is a lovely thing for our family. Parmar has not only given our kids the opportunity to learn from experienced professional coaches but has also given them the confidence to believe that big things happen when their mind, their body and their heart work together over the limits to achieve their dreams. Mendoza-Saud Family (Ramon, Celene, Jose, Gaby, Patrick and Yamna)
MOAD AND MOHAMMAD MAADANI, Capital United , OYSL / U9
I would like to thank you and your assistance for being excellent at what you do. My older boy who is now close to 15 years and the younger one who is now close to 9 years are greatly appreciating Parmar staff for what they did in the past and what will do in the future for their development, both are considering you as the only one in the city who knows and coach the game, moreover who can deal with soccer players young and older. As parent as well as soccer player, I am very impressed with your way of teaching the boys. I will encourage all parents if they want their kids to reach high level of soccer come forward and taste and feel Parmar Soccer and how there belongs are developing quicker than they think. Great job you guys, keep up the great work!!!
VANESSA GREGOIRE, Quebec Provincial Team / Lakeshore, Under 14
I have known Sanjeev for 3 years now. I play in Montreal for the Lakeshore 1996 AAA girls team and I first met Sanjeev when we played against his Parmar +20 squad. My first impression was that they were extremely strong technically and I hoped that one day I would have the chance to train with Sanjeev. Since then, I have had the opportunity to participate in two of Sanjeev's camps and most recently to attend the Eastern Canadian Super 32 Showcase. Sanjeev has helped me a lot from a technical perspective. His drills are always different and interesting and he gives me plenty of feedback. I know I have improved a lot because of his advice. He is patient and has also helped me become a more confident player by encouraging me when I do things right. My dream is to play soccer for the Canadian National team and to play soccer in university. I recently attended the Eastern Canadian Super 32 Showcase. I had the opportunity to play with a group of extremely talented girls and show the US and Canadian coaches what I could do. I had a lot of fun and I loved the experience. What I like the most about playing for Sanjeev is that not only does he help me become a better soccer player, he has also allowed me to meet new friends who share the same interest as me. I am truly grateful to Sanjeev for all the opportunities he has given me. Parmar Sports training is amazing!
AIDAN AYLWARD, Eastern Canad Danone Cup & Ottawa Fury, Under 12
My son Aidan has been playing soccer since U5 and has loved it from his first touch. He is currently a keeper with the Fury U12 boys. From U-7 through U-10, he attended the Parmar Sports Training team sessions with the Cumberland Cobras as well as winter skills and development programs and summer camps. As parents, we were impressed with Sanjeev’s own unbelievable skill and his ability to inspire and challenge his players. From Aidan’s perspective, Sanjeev always pushed him to be his best and as we have discovered, developed in him ball control skills that set him apart from other keepers his age. Aidan recently attended a training camp with the Tottenham Hotspurs in London where his “brilliant feet” were regularly praised by the coaching staff…a real plus for a keeper. This week, Aidan was named to the Danone Cup Eastern Canada team for 2010. The benefits of having been trained by Sanjeev from a young age continue to pay dividends as he moves through his soccer career. I don’t believe there is a better place to learn ball mastery than Parmar and with it comes the added bonus that it truly is a whole lot of fun! Thanks Sanjeev for giving him the tools to keep his soccer dreams alive and for inspiring him to reach for his goals with both hands (and feet)!
ERIN MCLEOD, Canadian National Team & Washington Freedom, Womens Pro Soccer League
My name is Erin McLeod and I am a keeper for the Canadian National Team as well as the Women's Professional soccer team, Washington Freedom. I had the privilege of working with Sanjeev's +20 program born in 1996/97 for a number of weeks in Ottawa. I can honestly say that I have never seen so much talent for such a young group of girls. Their technical ability alone is better than any girls I have seen at that age anywhere in the USA and Canada. Sanjeev's focus to technical and tactical details allows for an incredible learning environment. This group had homework assignments every week, two girls per session were in charge of the team warm up, they shake all the coaches hands before and after practice, they have prepared resumes for possible universities; this is a team of professionals determined to be better people and players. Sanjeev and all of his coaching staff expect the most out of their players every session and this passionate group consistently delivers. I was able to run a few warm up drills for the entire group as well as work with the keepers. I noticed immediately that regardless of who is running the drills this group is eager to learn and listen, a group of girls like this is why people coach in the first place. They train like it is their career and I expect for most of them one day it will be.
EMILY PROCHNAU, Kanata, Under 16
I participated in the Parmar Speed Skills & Strength program this winter, and as a result, at my tryouts I felt stronger, faster, and I played smarter on the field. Parmar helped me make the two teams I was trying out for and kept me in shape through out the winter. Thanks so much!
JAELON WILLIAMS, Hull U16, AAA
The training provided by the coaches of Parmar Sports Training is second to none. The coaches are able to use the passion that they have for the game to help motivate and develop an attitude and desire to achieve success both on and off the field. I saw a tremendous change in my son's game and an improvement in his overall attitude, fitness, agility, speed and accuracy. Most importantly, my son not only works to gain possession of the ball now, he also works hard to maintain each possession with the skill and control learned during just 16 short weeks with Parmar Sports Training. The coaches have done the one thing that I had thought was lost; they have re-ignited the love and joy of playing in my son. That alone is priceless!
ADRIENNE LI, Cumberland Cobras / Region 5, OYSL U14
February 10, 2010 My daughter, Adrienne, as a 12-year old, shows promise of being an elite soccer player, but she was a bit of a raw talent. She joined the +20 Program this Fall with players from many teams all across the region; knowing that it had the reputation for providing excellent technical training. The Program has far exceeded our expectations. In the last 6 months, the girls in the Program have progressed immensely, in their 1-on-1 moves, tactical awareness, field vision, and overall technical skills. Sanjeev and his team of coaches, often 4 to 6 of them, bring a sense of passion and unbridled enthusiasm onto the field every day, and the girls pick it up. They bring a sense of professionalism, hard work to every practice. The girls were asked to plan and lead their own warm-ups, building up their leadership capacities. Nutrition was discussed and the girls were asked to keep a nutrition log for several weeks. They let the girls know that, there is much more to being an elite athlete than showing up on game day; to excel - you need to eat right, sleep right, think right, and most of all, you need to want to excel. They have high expectations for each and every player, to help them to dream big and be the best that they can be. They are honest and direct in providing feedback to each individual, including 1-on-1 discussions, video analysis, written commentary complete with stats. They take a personal interest in the progress of each player, providing straight forward advice to these 12 and 13 year-olds as they navigate through the difficult decisions at this pivotal point in their development. There is always a lot of laughter before and after practices, which tells me that the girls are having fun. Adrienne has improved tremendously, and is looking forward to competing in the OYSL in the coming season. She plays with a new found skills and confidence gained from training with the best. Yes, we expected Adrienne would improve her soccer skills, but she got much more from +20.
CHRIS GRIMES, Ottawa Fury, Under 10 Boys Coach
February 5, 2010 Spending nearly 7 years developing my coaching passion within Parmar Sports Training I have seen numerous positive changes. Sanjeev Parmar and his world class coaching staff continue to impress year and year out with outstanding soccer development programs for athletes of every background and skill level. Their commitment to technical training has helped develop some of the best young soccer players in Ottawa. I remember starting out my coaching career a little over 8 years ago, I was coaching an exuberant bunch of girls, but I was looking for some help with their speed and conditioning. I came across the name Sanjeev Parmar, fairly new the Ottawa area, this young entrepreneur started his own coaching business. I hired him to work with our team through that winter and although he was there to develop their speed it only took 2 minutes before my coaching development would take a change for the better. He introduced himself with a ball at his feet, an exciting display of technical ability unlike anything we had ever seen a gym floor. He promised that the team would be able to do that by year end – they may not have achieved that but they certainly did improve. Since then I have gone on to coach within his organization for the last 6 years as well as throw my hand into 3 more teams, everyone of them have had the benefit to work with Sanjeev. His dedication to developing technically proficient players has culminated in several provincial team players. Sanjeev’s passion goes far beyond just developing young athletes, his thirst for knowledge has driven him to achieve the highest coaching certification in Canada and he hopes to pursue the UEFA licences sometime soon. Sanjeev’s business however could not grow on his own. He continues to groom some of the best and brightest coaches in the city, all of which I have had the pleasure to work with and learn from. I have watched several young coaches grow with in his system of development, several have gone on to coaching in different parts of North America, in all types of positions.
HARMIT KAMBOE , Volunteer of YFC Rurka Kalan PUNJAB, INDIA,
January 13, 2010 Sanjeev has brought passion for excellence and great technical insight into the drills he has suggested to both, the children at Youth Football Club of Rurka Kalan, in Punjab, India as well to the youth coaches across Punjab. His commitment to raising the level of youth football in Punjab is complete.
CHANTAL CARON , Cumberland Cobras / Region 5, U12
October 20, 2009 Chantal began training with Parmar Sports as a U9 player. Since that first summer, her interest in and passion for Parmar programs has grown This past summer, she spent five weeks in Parmar camps – even doing ‘just one more camp' in lieu of getting any birthday presents. Why would a 12 year old girl give up all claims to new clothes or CD's to do a Parmar camp? Chantal says it's because the camps are so intense and so fun, that she comes away each day exhausted and elated. Why would I as a parent choose Parmar camps over other sports offerings? Because I know Sanjeev and his staff strike a balance of good fun, great workouts and excellent skills training. Because I know that at the end of a week spent with Sanjeev, Kevin, Bobby and Matt, my daughter has improved skills, new insights, a greater love and appreciation of the sport and a heightened desire to excel. And finally, because I know Chantal benefits from Parmar's whole athlete approach, which addresses issues often neglected by other programs, including nutrition, fitness, sportsmanship and tactical thinking.
SCOTT BOWMAN , Gloucester U12 Regional, MEGAN BOWMAN - U10 Premier Cobras
August 24, 2009 Both my son and my daughter have benefited from the training received from Parmar. Sanjeev and his staff at Parmar have instilled confidence in each of my children and have increased their skill level to a great extent. Because they are now much more confident they have both taken up their play a notch and it shows in their soccer games and practices. Sanjeeve and his staff are to be congratulated. They have mastered the fine art of getting children to perform at their best and to have fun while learning at an accelerated pace. Not only have they learned soccer skills, but also life skills. Skills they will use for life, including humility, honour, respect, and good sportsmanship.
JORDAN LUNDIN-, Ontario U14 Provincial Team, Cumberland Cobras U13
MORGAN LUNDIN - Cumberland Cobras u10 JARED LUNDIN – Cumberland Cobras u9 In 200, the summer my oldest daughter Jordan was in U9, Sanjeev saw in her a raw talent that he felt with proper training would allow her to excel in soccer. Over the years she has participated in many of the Parmar programs including +20, an intensive program that brings talented kids together from across the city to train in an environment that is competitive, challenging and fun. Through programs such as this Sanjeev and his staff have instilled in Jordan a love for the sport, a strong sense of team, a drive to succeed and an inner confidence that she will always carry. Moreover, they have worked with her to shape that raw talent first noticed by Sanjeev years ago into a skill level that has allowed her to participate in the Province's regional program for the past 2 years, and has now prepared her for the Provincial team tryouts this fall. Regardless of what the future holds for Jordan in soccer, the Parmar programs have been key in giving her the building blocks to succeed. Now my younger two children are playing competitive soccer and are involved in Parmar training programs. They too show a special talent for the sport and I have no doubt that the Parmar staff will play an important role in developing both their skill and passion for soccer in the years to come. Sanjeev and his staff have found a way to balance technical and physical training with a lot of laughter and fun. So whether the session is hard work or the famous water fight at the end of the season I never have had to tell the kids more than once that it is time for their Parmar training and they appear at the door dressed and ready to go. I believe as a parent this speaks volumes.
JIM HARDY, Ottawa Royals,
July 30, 2009 “My two sons have regularly attended and enjoyed Sanjeev's camps over the past five years. His programs are well-run, great for competitive-level players looking to develop specific skills, and lots of fun for kids. Apart from Sanjeevs' obvious technical skill and teaching ability, two things set him apart from others. First, he loves working with young soccer players. You see this in his attitude around kids, the playfulness he brings to his camps, and the energy he invests in each training session. Second, Sanjeev has created a community that bridges players and clubs. Because his programs are so good, many players are repeat attendees and develop friendships with the instructors as well as kids from different clubs, often comparing skills and revisiting rivalries. His contribution to the broader Ottawa soccer community is both unique and invaluable.”
ALEX VALEE, Cumberland Cobras, U9 D1
MAY 7, 2009 Our son Alex has been training with Sanjeev since the age of 5. I think we might have been one of Sanjeev's first clients when he started out at the Sir Wilfred Laurier High school gymnasium on Saturday nights. What a way to spend a Saturday evening! And that it was! Alex has always had a passion for the sport. He lives and breathes it. He does other sports during the fall and winter months (which also includes Sanjeev's soccer sessions) but come the February/March timeframe, Alex knows that soccer is right around the corner and gets pumped up! We truly believe that the training that Alex has received over the last 5 years is what got him onto the Cumberland Cobras U-9 Boys Division 1 team this year where the top 13 boys were selected for the team. (and his passion of course!) Sanjeev has taught him the “art of soccer”, the fancy footwork, the agility with the ball, the “smart moves/passes” to other players and to strike when the play allows it. His knowledge of the sport has excelled as well and during games last season he was making the calls before the refs were. Sanjeev and his coaching staff are great with the kids. They encourage team play, but also the individual aspect of striving to improve ones own game. If your son or daughter has the passion for soccer, then have them try a session with Sanjeev. They (and you) won't be disappointed! Christina & Ray Vallée
LAKESHORE S.C. F96AAS, ,
APRIL 29, 2009 Last winter, an Ottawa area parent of one of Sanjeev's students put us in touch with Sanjeev (and his informative website). The site outlined Sanjeev's impressive credentials, his soccer playing history, his teaching methods, and his dedication to developing young athletes. After playing against one of his solid +20 teams, we came away convinced that we needed to have Sanjeev run a few of our team's technical training sessions during our winter camp. Sanjeev, in a short period of time, and through his innovative and enjoyable training methods, was able to take our already advanced team to a higher technical level . The sessions were never repetitive and Sanjeev was able to build an instant rapport and gained the respect of our girls. We are one of Quebec's top soccer teams in our age category. Sanjeev's work with us definitely helped us this past season and we will be taking part in more sessions with him during our 2008-2009 winter camp. For any soccer teams looking at "kicking" their technical development up a few notches, the players and coaching staff of the Lakeshore S.C. F96AAS team would heartily recommend working with Sanjeev. Merci. Jos Chianetta-head coach Chris de Saint-Rome-GM
ZACHARY LOUIS-SEIZE, Ottawa Fury, U14
March 5, 2009 Special thanks to Sanjeev and his coaching staff over the last four years, which has, been superb. It all started when Zach was looking to move from house league to playing competitive soccer. That winter we were looking for some skills training. Sanjeev was kind enough part way thru his training session to take on one more child. Right from the start I could see the passion Sanjeev has for the sport and kids. He was able to push the kids to be the best they could be, no matter what level of skill you brought to the field. His enthusiasm and energy along with his joy off working with the kids motivated Zach to enjoy the game even more. To continue playing at that level Zach still attends training with Sanjeev and his staff. They are fun and inspirational and to a kid like Zach it motivates him even more to be to we worked hard in training. There are things you generally will not get in normal training sessions that make him special...the tricks, types of drills and attention to little individual details that he picks up, that help his players. With the Speed Agility and Quickness training. Zach really enjoy's being pushed hard in these sessions and is looking forward to the next one. Even with his other sports that Zach does at school you can see the benefits of such a program. When other parents ask me about the program I can't stress enough to them the benefits it has had on him. How to be quicker, better balanced, jump and land properly...doesn't really matter what sport your choose. Thank you for being you and your advice over the years.
KIRAN UNGER, Ottawa Internationals , Under 11 Premier
March 2, 2009 This winter, my son Kiran (U11) has participated in both the ball control and speed, strength and conditioning courses offered by Parmar Sports Training. The two courses have helped him immeasurably both as a soccer player and as an individual. His speed and agility on the field has markedly improved, as has his ability to control the ball. Also, he has become more confident in himself both as an individual and as a team player. I attribute this not only to the excellent training Sanjeev and his assistants provide every student with, but their incredibly positive attitude as well. Kiran has continuously been encouraged to give everything his best and to push himself without ever being told that his best was not good enough (although a polite and friendly jibe from time to time has helped prod him along!); the result has been that he has never been uncomfortable with embracing new challenges, no matter how difficult they might seem. My son has always looked forward to coming to Sanjeev's classes, and now when he ‘goofs around' before a soccer match, it's usually to practice some of the skills Sanjeev and his assistants have taught him. Also, when I've watched him on the field, I've seen him begin to cast aside old habits and use the techniques he is learning in class – something that takes a lot of faith in oneself and confidence in one's teacher! I would strongly recommend both programs as a way for kids to improve both their soccer skills as well as their own sense of self as an individual and as a member of a team. I know Kiran will be going back – he's already told me!
GENEVIEVE GIGNAC, Capital United, U14 Regional
January 23, 2009 I met Sanjeev at the age of 9. It was my first session and I have not had any coach that uses funny expressions such as rubbish, magic or sickness! That session, he showed me my very first move and it was the scissors; I loved it! Since then, I have attended March breaks camps, Parmar + 20 sessions and many others. His practices are by far my favourite; the intensity and the drills are never the same and most of all there is never a dull moment. For the past four years, he has been coaching different aspect of the game, either skill wise, shooting techniques, phases or the principles of plays and he has always somehow made it fun! All I have to say is, he is the one who made me a better player. He and his crew have inspired me!
NYLE MACLEOD, Ottawa Internationals , Under 11 Premier
January 7, 2009 Parmar Sports Training is all about the passion and commitment required to make your little person's soccer life the best it can be. I have watched my son Nyle improve at a sport that is foreign to me and yet I am caught up in his love of the game. Nyle has been playing soccer for two and a half years, beginning with the DSP (Developmental Soccer Program) and moving into competitive half way through his U9 season (yes, he gave up hockey for this J ). Nyle began to accelerate his soccer skills when he attended a Parmar half-day camp last summer '08. He continues to train with Sanjeev twice a week and in fact, if he could, would take on more! Sanjeev and his team have created a program that emphasizes individual and team progression, from conditioning to skill development. The training environment enthusiastically demonstrates an infectious love for the game. Sanjeev's commitment to his sport and his players is obvious. He is constantly improving his programs with newsletters on various topics such as nutrition and videos of the latest skill technique. I highly recommend Parmar Sports Training and Sanjeev Parmar. If your child craves a demanding training environment that will undoubtedly improve his/her soccer then you need to check out this year round program, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Sanjeev your program and team of coaches are simply the best…
STEVE JOHNSON, University of Ottawa Women's Head Coach,
January 5, 2009 I have been fortunate to work with Sanjeev for several years with the uOttawa Gee-Gees womens soccer program. Sanjeev has had a tremendous influence on the Ottawa soccer community. He is energetic, passionate, and dedicated to development. He inspires players, and I think it is this personal quality of his where he has had the greatest impact. Sanj succeeds in promoting the creativity and imagination of the developing player. We will soon see more and more players in Ottawa, reaching higher and better standards of play, directly related to his influence at the developing stage. I look forward to watching Sanj continue to help the young players of our community learn and master the skills to succeed.
VERONICA JOHNSON, Cumberland Cobras U12, Region 5, BRANDON JOHNSON - Ottawa Internationals U11 Premier
December 18, 2008 Expectations; we all have them – Parmar Sports Training will raise them even higher. Ronnie and Brandon benefit greatly from their time spent with Sanjeev and his team. Their own level of confidence, knowledge, independence, responsibility, physical strength, agility, speed and ball control are challenged each and every time they train – and they're having a ball! Inherently, each of them have always had the personal drive to succeed – be it in hockey, soccer, school, or whatever. They now not only expect to be great, they expect to be the best they can be. Can a parent expect anything more? Thanks Sanj, Kevin, Wendy and Erik for your personal involvement in our kids' lives – it is very much appreciated and paying off in many ways, in and outside of sport. We plan on staying on this ride for as long as possible – it just keeps getting better! Whatever your sport, we know of no other person or training team with the skills, passion, and dedication to the total overall development of kids than Sanj. He truly is amazing. … Pass it on…
ELLIOT SIMMONS, MK Dons Youth Academy England, U11
December 10, 2008 Elliot has supplemented his regular club training with Parmar Sports for the past three years. He has just spent a succesful period of time training with Arsenal FC U11 boys in the UK and has recently received additional training/trial offers from West ham Utd and Chelsea FC . Having spoken to scouts/coaches from these three clubs, it is very apparant that the most important attributes they are looking for in young players between 8-12 is natural ability and mastery of the ball, ie First touch and overall technical ability etc. Other advanced tactical aspects of the game as it gets faster through the ages cannot be achieved unless these fundementals are in place first . Sanjeev's huge influence on Elliot over the years cannot be underestimated and his attention to technical detail has really made a difference, and played a significant role in Elliot being identified for these trial opportunities. If you take your game seriously, Put your trust in Sanjeev, I don't believe there is a better technical coach in the Ottawa area. We look forward to many more years of your programs.
SPENCER HUBBLE, Ottawa Fury Academy,
December 10, 2008 Spencer has been recieving training from Parmar Sports Training for 1 year now. As we are entering year two with Parmar Training not only has Sanjeeev raised the bar on player development by producing these skills/training videos but the educational component is a sound communication document all parents can utilize in keeping their young soccer players healthy. During our first viewing of the skills session of the week, Spencer immediately wanted to demonstrate his ability in executing the Itchikue and Pull Back in the basement.( I think I need a larger basement now.) The skills/training video that Parmar Training has provided is certainly a motivator for the player and enhanced the knowledge base for the parent in keeping your soccer fanatics healthy. Excellent work Sanjeev, we look forward to your next release.
CHRISTIAN SARGUSINGH - Ottawa Fury U12 Boys & Parmar +20, JOSHUA SARGUSINGH - Ottawa Fury U11 Boys,
November 7, 2008 We thank you, Sanj, for your incredible commitment to this fabulous sport, and for helping my two boys, Christian and Joshua, find that insatiable appetite to train, and to take their skills to other levels I never imagined for them. You've set such high standards for them and, with your expert training and inspiration, they have risen to the challenge. Not only have they refined their soccer skills, they are both driven to succeed in other areas such as their school work, where they are both A students. If only I could get them to spend enough time doing their daily chores! We started on this journey with you 3 years ago, and it's been one wildly entertaining ride after another. The boys look forward to your training sessions with such eagerness and anticipation, and they often return home only to pick up the ball to try some of the moves or tricks they've learned. Your spring and summer camps, especially, are just out of this world! "Sick" and "crazy" are the two words that best describe your amazing, high energy camps! Indeed, you have had such a great influence on both boys that I hope they will continue to benefit from your superb training for a long, long time to come.
STEPHAN SCHILKIE, Houghton College Men's Soccer Assistant Coach,
December 2, 2008 Throughout my career as a coach I have watched my fair share of athletically talented players struggle on the pitch. As youth players they were taught to rely on their athletic prowess in order to win games rather than develop the skill necessary for higher levels of competition. Therefore, when older and thrust into higher level games, they are not able to meet the technical or tactical requirements of the game. Fortunately, Parmar Sports Training does not sacrifice technical, tactically and creative development of the young soccer player at the feet of a “competition first” culture. Sanjeev's attention to technique and tactics is first rate and his passion for soccer and children is unparalleled. It's an opportunity that any serious minded player or parent should take advantage of.
MICHELLE FORRESTER - Parent, TARYN AND MADISON FORRESTER , Cumberland U14 Premier and U12 Regional
November 4, 2008 "My two daughters have had the pleasure of attending several of Sanjeev's camps and training sessions. They are currently attending the Speed, Strength and Conditioning Program, and they have already seen improvements in their own physical fitness, coordination and speed and are amazed at what they can do. When I have picked them up after their training sessions, or a day at camp, they were often hot, sweaty and tired, but always exuberant with huge smiles on their faces, anxious to tell me about their day, and excited to get there the next morning. They have always been pleased with their accomplishments and have learned to set new goals for themselves. Sanjeev has a special gift when training our youth, they respond in such a positive way to his methods and techniques and he is able to bring out in them their inner drive to push themselves to their limits. He makes a point of taking care of the total athlete, from athleticism, to nutrition, to personal goal setting, and personal growth. Sanjeev's philosophy and techniques reinforce values that we, as parents wish for our children, such as “always try your hardest,” “never give up,” and “be the best you can be,” among others. Sanjeev's programs have allowed my girls to see for themselves what they are capable of, both physically and mentally, and he has become a positive “real life” role model for my girls."
JANICE AND DAVE GILMOUR - PARENTS, KRISTEN GILMOUR, Ottawa Fury U15 Girls
October 29, 2008 "Our daughter, Kristen, has been working with Sanjeev for almost 5 years now. She has been a regular attendee of Sanjeev's Speed and Agility programs and has also benefited from numerous team training programs offered by Sanjeev over that time. She is hard at it again this year in Parmar's "Speed, Strength and Conditioning" program, and we can say that even after just 2 sessions working with Sanjeev and his specialized coaching staff, both her running speed and general level of fitness are markedly improved. Personal attention from Craig Taylor (Donovan Bailey's former sprint coach), along with the infectious enthusiasm of Sanjeev and his staff towards fitness and improving speed and agility will certainly continue to translate directly into improvements on the soccer pitch for Kristen. Sanjeev's programs are well planned, fast paced, varied and challenging. It's hard work but it certainly pays off. Kristen enjoys the sessions immensely."
RAFAEL TOICHOA FULFORD - Cumberland Cobras, GABRIEL TOICHOA - PARENT,
October 27, 2008 "Our son loves soccer so much, that he asked us to find some extra training. During the summer our soccer club had young teams working with Parmar Sport Training programs and we thought this would be a great place to begin Rafael's training. We have not been disappointed! Here is what Rafael says about the Parmar program: “I love attending Sanjeev's camps and training sessions because they push me to improve my skills and they push me to get better at playing with the soccer ball.” After each session Rafael comes home with great excitement and cannot wait until the next training time. He has learned better kicking techniques (stronger and more accurate), better running techniques (sprinting faster) and better ball control (especially in the air). He keeps going back to the Parmar Sport Training because he is keen to learn new soccer skills and increase his fitness level. Thanks, Sanjeev, and Parmar staff, for offering this wonderful opportunity for young soccer players to increase their skills and love for the game."

September 28, 2008 "Sanjeev volunteered to run a seven day Training camp at our academy at which time he coached our coaches and players. He has given a new direction to our coaching program as a result our staff and players have learned a lot from him. Sanjeev has perfect insight to the development process of athletes, his excellent work ethics and vision has impressed everybody a lot. His skill for demos, organisationton and delivery of sessions is truly world class. He arranged this visit at his own expenses for the betterment of Punjabi Football. We have plans to implement his coaching program throughout the state so that we can serve underprivelged soccer players in a better way. We are highly obliged to Sanjeev."
ROSHEN JASWAL , Burnaby AAA Hockey,
July 27, 2008 "I would like to take this time to thank Sanjeev and the rest of the coaching staff (Kevin,Wendy,Eric, and Elliot) for the most fun two weeks of my life. I had the privilege to live with Sanjeev (my first cousin) for two weeks, and now I know why he has the best programs in all of Ottawa . He is on the field from 9 am to 9p.m. Everything was great about the camps from the training to joking around with the coaches at lunch to swimming and then to the best part of camp world cup. I myself am from Vancouver and play hockey, I have tried soccer and never liked it but coming to Parmar camps has made me see why billions of people play soccer and not every camp can show a kid that. Sanj has done a great job in picking top notch coaching staff in Eric, Wendy, and Kevin as they really made me feel at home and were always there to help you with whatever you needed. It's not often you come across awesome programs and coaching that Parmar sports training offers and It's easy to see why they are #1."
JESSE LONGCHAMPS, Ottawa Royals,
May 27, 2008 " I have attended many Parmar soccer clinics since I was 8 years old. The training has always been competitive, creative, fun and promising. Sanjeev is a great trainer who makes every training session different, and something to look forward to. He is committed to making everyday as productive as possible so that you get the most out of it. Sanjeev has helped me with my speed and agility, strength and conditioning, ball handling skills, and even my outlook on the game. It has definitely had an impact on both my game, and my passion for the sport. Sanjeev knows how to take every training session seriously, but he is always a down to earth person who is so much fun to train with. Sanjeev is just living proof that the relationship you make with your team mates and trainers is one of the most important. Parmar Training has even become a family event. I look forward to it every summer and winter."
ANDRE CHARTRAND - Parent, ,
May 22, 2008 I am writing to you in regard to your 2007/2008 Winter Strength and Conditioning Program that both my son Cory, 14 years of age and my daughter Melissa 12 years of age participated in this past winter. I want to inform you that I thought these sessions were fantastic. Not only did both my children get pushed to work really hard but also we saw instant results in the fitness level and their ability to run faster. The sessions were very professional and the knowledge of the coaches were top notch. For an example, the running coach in the first session explained posture and the use of their hands/arms while running. Two of the parents on my son's soccer team asked me where Cory picked up all his speed? I was shocked myself as with one session Cory's running skills improved dramatically. All the parents expressed that this was money well spent. I asked my son the same question and was surprised with his response; he said, “Dad I've just been taught how to run properly and I finally have been told what to do with my arms, I can't believe how much faster I am.” Both my children continued to improve week after week. As for my daughter she as well with the guidance of the running coach paid attention to posture and arms and showed so much improvement throughout the entire program. I want to thank you for offering such a high level of all around physical workout and top notch running training to these kids who will only benefit in the years to come as athletes.
MIRANDA SMITH, Cumberland u12 Regional, OSA Region 5, Danone Nations Cup Canada Team & Parmar +20,
May 7, 2008 I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your amazing work with my daughter. Just two short years ago, you recognized that she had the athletic abilities to go to the next level. Thanks to your hard work, dedication and enthusiasm, Miranda has been able to accomplish many of her goals including, making your Parmar +20 program, Region 5 team as an under age player, and this year, The Danone Nations Cup Team for Eastern Canada. From day 1 you taught her to set goals for herself and then go and achieve them. As a competitive athlete most of my life, it is easy for me to say that your programs are by far the most innovative, intense and inspiring for children. I have yet to see someone who displays as much passion for a sport as you do for soccer and especially the kids you train. Your +20 program is easily in a class of it's own. Simply, it is the best program for kid's soccer development I have seen. Miranda has done evey program you have and they all have helped to make her a better athlete, soccer player and person. I know that Miranda looks forward to every session she has with you and hopes that you will continue to help her improve, so she can reach all of her goals! On behalf of Miranda and our Family, I would like to say THANKS and keep up the Great Work!
ELLIOT SIMMONS, Ottawa Fury Academy 1,
May 4, 2008 Elliot first started with Sanjeev aged 7 . We quickly noticed rapid improvement with his overall co-ordination, foot speed, balance and individual skills. Sanjeev introduced Elliot to the importance of ball juggling or 'keep me up's" to help his first touch and from only being able to initially do a few, Elliot's own personal juggling record now stands close to 2,000. Through coaching myself and watching Elliot's games I have been fortunate to watch hundreds of young players locally and it amazes me how easy it still is to pick out a player who has trained with Sanjeev on a regular basis. In my opinion these fortunate players are quite clearly a step ahead of the majority in terms of technical ability. What I find really refreshing is that Sanjeev clearly recognizes the importance of putting individual player development first and the local Ottawa soccer community is extremely fortunate to have a such a talented coach at their disposal. I would say to any parent or player who takes the game seriously, give Sanjeev a try and experience the difference!
CARRIE KVETON, Sonderjyske Danish Womens 3F Liga,
May 3, 2008 I met Sanjeev when I played for the Ottawa Fury in the summer of 2006. He's a pretty busy guy but always found time to train. We would meet up in the mornings before the Fury sessions at night and train together, usually with a couple guys or girls along with that he trained. It was fantastic. Sanjeev was the best training partner! I was absolutely blown away by his technical perfection and tried to convince him the rest of the summer that he should be playing professionally somewhere. His dedication and commitment to improvement and performance was inspiring. We would train for hours and do technical work until it was right, although Sanjeev usually got it the first time around. I had an awesome summer training with him and really missed him the next year when I switched clubs. Not only is he a fantastic trainer but he also has impecible character and is genuinely caring.
STEPHEN VEENEMA, Kanata U13 Regional Soccer,
March 24, 2008 This is the fourth year that Stephen has attended a Parmar “Speed and Agility” session. It is incredible how every week there are new drills to learn, new moves and fresh workouts. Each year Stephen has seen improvement in his strength and speed directly related to these sessions. The passion for soccer that Sanjeev brings along with his amazing soccer skills has been a great example. He sees the potential in players and has the ability to draw that out while making the drills fun and competitive. Stephen truly enjoys each session and does not realize how hard he is working and how much he is learning . We are lucky to have Sanjeev in Ottawa!
SAMUEL ROBERT, Cumberland Cobras U13, Region 5,
February 14, 2008 "I have attended several soccer clinics and camps with Sanjeev for the last 4 years, on my own and with my soccer team. Sanjeev helped us develop and become better soccer players. Sanjeev has been a great coach and he encouraged me to always push myself and give my best." "Our son Samuel has been very fortunate to be coached by such a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team at Parmar Sports Training. Sanjeev's professionalism, competitiveness and passion for soccer has positively impacted many soccer players in the Ottawa area."
CIARA McCORMACK, Ottawa Fury W-League pro team and GirlsCAN Soccer Development Founder/Head Coach,
December 23, 2007 In May of 1997, devastated after losing in overtime of the BC High School Provincials, a stranger came up to me and told me what a great player he thought I was and how well he felt I had played. I didn't know his name, but the time he took to do that left a deep impression on me, both on my esteem as a player and inspired me to take the time to let others know when I thought something positive, because of how good it made me feel. Ten years later, this face resurfaced, in the form of my assistant coach for the Ottawa Fury, Sanjeev Parmar. Sanjeev's obvious passion for the game and for teaching it, was evident every time our W League team worked with him. Our whole team looked forward to his Tuesday night practices and his innovative methods of teaching, his ability to have us work hard but enjoy every minute and the creativity that he brought to each session. A couple of times he brought his female youth players out and we were blown away with their ability, again no doubt a credit to the work Sanjeev had done with them. I can say without a doubt he is one of the best coaches in Canada, and anyone who has the ability to be coached by him is lucky. Also, as a peer in the coaching world, his openness in sharing drills and ideas is rare and I have benefitted immensely from his extensive knowledge. He is truly a first class coach and person.
AYRTON SARGUSINGH - Parent, ,
December 21, 2007 Some people are gifted athletes, some are gifted coaches, but it is very rare to find both traits so complete in one individual. Sanjeev Parmar's name has become synonymous with elite soccer in the Ottawa area and far beyond. From East to West, every soccer kid in the Ottawa area knows his name, and they have been very positively impacted by him and his programs. Sanjeev has solidified his company, Parmar Sports Training, into an absolute powerhouse of soccer expertise. He has surrounded himself with an incredible diversity of talent, all of whom have played and coached at the highest levels in Canada. Sanjeev's absolute love and fascination of soccer shows in his extraordinary knowledge of technical and tactical facets of the game; yet it is his love for coaching that has earn him so many kudos from kids, clients, and colleagues everywhere. Every kid who loves soccer wants to proudly wear his gear, with “Parmar Sports Training” adorned on their t-shirts and jerseys; but, what makes Sanjeev so unique is his ability to relate to boys and girls at every age and skill level. He gains their absolute trust and admiration immediately when he steps out on the field, and they work so hard just to hear him applaud their efforts! But what really speaks volumes is the results you see from the kids themselves: their faces, their spirit and determination, and the incredible skills they develop all tell their own individual success stories. Indeed, it is an incredible journey to witness first hand the development of a player from beginner to intermediate to advanced in such a short space of time, and to see the tremendous confidence they develop in their own abilities; that is certainly a real treat for every parent and every kid involved with Sanjeev!
RACHEL RADU, Vancouver Whitecaps Prospects, U13 Semiahmoo Thunder, BC Provincial Cup Champions, 2007 ERSL Cup Champion, 2006/07 Parmar +20,
December 15, 2007 Rachel began training with Sanjeev at the age of 9 and has had such a positive influence on her development and love for the game of soccer. He truly leads by example with infectious enthusiasm and commitment to soccer development both on and off the field. His professional development style has always been age appropriate and designed to be effective and motivational. His personal effectiveness has developed Rachel into a top player in Ottawa and Vancouver. His personal contacts throughout Soccer Canada lead to her being scouted to the 2007 BC U12 Championship team, the Semiahmoo Thunder where she earned a place on BC's Whitecaps Prospects Team that develops the best soccer talent in the Vancouver area. He is a mentor, a friend and an inspiration.
GABOR SOLYMAR , Kanata, U18
November 22, 2007 "Sanjeev has been a major contributor to success of our program as both a skills and Speed & Agility trainer for over 4 years. His sessions are intense, varied and extremely beneficial. His combination of natural candor with the boys, limitless energy and excellent skills makes him an ideal motivator for any age. The players love his sessions and don't seem to realize how hard they are working. Sanjeev's dedication to the sport and to teaching soccer as it should be taught is a great asset for this region to have. He has a desire to learn and share that many of us coaches and trainers would do well to emulate."
JADEN CHAYRA, Parmar +20,
October 27, 2007 Jaden was the first to be introduced to the ‘Parmar experience” two years ago. He attended a Parmar summer camp where he had a great deal of fun, received inspirational coaching and developed invaluable confidence as a young soccer player. Each evening he would come home from camp and tell us all about the great day he had and show us all he had learnt. That winter Jaden and Bianca attended the winter training programs. I have never experienced such enthusiasm and dedication to any training program before. Bianca would be all ready changed into her soccer kit and waiting with her water bottles and cleets at the door when I returned home from work. Jaden felt very privileged to be invited to the March Break Camp this year. He would talk about nothing else all evening until he fell asleep. For this winter all four of my children demand to attend the Parmar programs and learn from Sanjeev. My children are infected by Sanjeev's energy, enthusiasm, creativity and soccer skills. I as a parent admire his ability to connect with youth of all ages and to show that hard work has it's rewards. I am delighted that my children want to go to his session and want to learn and want to produce results for which they are proud of. Thanks Sanjeev!
EMMA ARSENAULT, Parmar + 20 and Under 12 Kanata Lightning,
October 21, 2007 I am one of the lucky few in my second year of the +20 program. It is so much fun to be with such a skilled and motivated group. Even more fun to be with a coach who challenges us so much and is always ready to provide positive feedback. All last winter I don't remember ever doing a drill more than twice, always a new situation or challenge to overcome. I have also been able to attend camps at March Break the last couple of years where Sanjeev brought in some great guest coaches to help. Ken was amazing; I hope we get him back this year. My skills have improved greatly thanks to Sanjeev's training but it is in my confidence that the biggest change has occurred. Now I love being encouraged to take defenders on. I just know if I nutmeg that defender and blow in on goal I am going to hear him screaming “Maaagggiiic”
MARY HUGHES - Parent, ,
October 18, 2007 My daughter, Lauren, has been working with Sanjeev for about three years now. She has improved with every session under him. His youthful enthusiasm is contagious. She strives to excell to please him and herself. She is especially proud when someone asks her where she learn a certain move or techique, and she relates it back to Sanjeev. He is able to relate to the younger athlete and able to pull out their desire, competitiveness and skill, so well. He has brought Lauren to her current level and continues to push her to strive to reach her full potential. His love for the game and showmanship keep everyone involved intense, even through a cold wet rain. His generousity and concern for the individual player continues to astound me. I cannot sing enough praises for this young man.
MICHAEL BASTIANELLI, Region 5(2nd year), Parmar +20, & Nepean Hotspurs , u13
October 16, 2007 "I have found the Parmar Sports Program for Soccer to be perhaps the best training available for players looking to enhance their personal skills and augment training they are receiving with their own Soccer Clubs. Sanjeev is a dedicated individual, with an obvious talent for soccer and ability to get his message through to players, creating a positive and rich environment for learning. The progress in the players attending the Parmar Program is very distinct and recognizable, on the field."
ELLIOT SIMMONS, Ottawa Fury Academy 1,
March 15, 2007 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0lhmJmpWD0E My son Elliot first attended a winter long Parmar Sports Training program at age 7. Sanjeev's passion, energy and enthusiasm for soceer soon influenced him and I saw a very rapid improvement with Elliot's overally movement, co-ordination, ball skills and agility. Sanjeev's motivational and fun approach was very influential in introducing Elliot to being comfortable and confident with the ball through practising various drills / tricks including juggling. From initially only being able to do one or two my son is now confidently able to complete 150 - 200 "keep me up's" on a regular basis as part of his warm up routine. Sanjeev's love for the "beautiful game" has left a very positive legacy with Elliot!.
AIDAN MOLLIE MAHONEY, , Region 5 Goalkeeper
QUINN MAHONEY - Under 10 premier boys & Parmar +20 Boys March 11, 2007 “Hey, try this.” And they try. “That's awesome, now try it this way.” They try again, and it's a little better. “Brilliant, now try it at home.” And they go home and try it, again and again. And they can't wait to show Sanjeev how much better they are the next time they see him. And they tell him about their new moves, and their juggling records. And they talk about how much fun their sessions are with Sanjeev. And they wear his t-shirts. And after a couple of years you hear people on the sidelines say, “Man, that kid can play.” Sanjeev, thanks for inspiring the kids to bring beauty to the Beautiful Game. “Sanjeev's sessions are the best.” – Quinn has worked with Sanjeev for 3 years. “Working with Sanjeev is fun, challenging, and an awesome way to improve your game.” -Aidan has also worked with Sanjeev for 3 years.
EDUARDO SEBRANGO, Vancouver Whitecaps Professional Team & Former Cuban National Team Player,
March 8, 2007 Hi my name is Eduardo Sebrango , I'm a professional soccer player with the Vancouver Whitecaps of the USL first division. I have known Sanjeev for about 5 years now and he has always helped me in the off-season to be sharp in pre-season training camp. After training under him in the off season for many years, I would say that his dedication and knowledge of preparing players to get fit is very high. I would recommend Sanjeev's programs to any parent that wants his kids to become the best soccer player possible. After working with him for so long, I have never seen him repeat one drill, each and every practise is new and innovative. Obviously this says a lot about how much thought and preperation he puts into preparing his program. Sanjeev, I also would like to take the opportunity to thank you for all your help during my off-season.
EMMA CHADWICK, Parmar +20 and Under 11 Kanata Lightning,
March 3, 2007 I met Sanjeev 2 years ago at my first March break camp. He was like no other coach – totally cool. Since then, I've taken every opportunity available to me to work with him and his team of coaches. They are ALL good players with a lot of experience and they definitely know what they are talking about. Everything they tell me to do to improve actually works…if I do it correctly of course! They give me credit when I do something right and constructive criticism when something needs to be corrected. Sanjeev teaches us something new at every session – never the same old simple things over and over again. He can even make boring passing drills fun! He finds a way to make it everything challenging and rewarding. All in all, Sanjeev and his team are excellent role models. They make me a better player than I could ever be without them. There's nothing more encouraging to me than to hear Sanjeev tell me, “Maaaaaaagic!”
KEVIN NELSON , Former Trinidad & Tobago U17 & Olympic Team and Present Professional Player,
February 18, 2007 Having played for the Ottawa Wizards I had the opportunity to live and play professionally with Sanjeev. After a little time I became to notice how passionate and driven he was. Each and every day he would come in to do extra training in the morning before our evening sessions with the team. He would always inspire myself and a few others to do the extra training with him. He was always interested in helping each player become the best that they could be. I've been joining in on Sanjeev's training sessions since 2002 and am now seeing the young players he was working with who have had amazing improvement over these years. These players now have skills I didn't have at their age because I wasn't privileged enough to have this unbelievable, high-quality training. Being fortunate enough to have also played in many areas of Europe and South America I compare Sanjeev's trainings to the high-quality youth training camps held there. Sanjeev is very inovative with his activities, he hardly does the same one twice, it keeps the players entertained and focused. After Sanjeev's training I noticed a improvement in my footwork, speed and a stronger overall confidence in my playing.
JENNA LU , , Parmar +20
February 15, 2007 My daughter was given the opportunity to attend a spring weekend training at Kemptville College with her team under Sanjeev Parmar's guidance. As coach for my daughter's team, I very pleased to have my team included in his training session. The girls were given professional training which was very structured, very educational, but very fun. While maintaining a professional soccer education, Sanjeev was able to connect with each individual player regardless of age. There was a mix of 10 and 11 year old girls who were taught skills that made their training intense but very entertaining. As a coach I saw growth in my players in the two days they were training. The experience was very positive and also focused on team building through fun extracurricular activities. My daughter was very sad to leave the camp and wanted to stay longer. With the intensity of training, attention to detail, the camp was still very exciting and though the girls learned a great deal, they were ready to devour more knowledge. I would highly recommend this experience for any team and look forward to the next opportunity for my daughter.
KRISTI KORYCKI STRIEGLER, Ottawa Internationals, Parmar +20 and under 12
February 11, 2007 My daughter Kristi was invited to train with Sanjeev over the fall of 2006 winter of 2007. Immediately on the first night of training one could see how the initiative and level of play were at an advanced level. There was a a friendly welcoming atmosphere on arrival, but once training started each night the program was all business with consistent serious effort at drills, skills, communication and discipline. The drills and skill development exercises were smooth and efficient, designed to increase strength, reaction time, immediate strategic thinking and communication. Sanjeev not only provided great conditioning exercises but also the encouragement and motivation to the players to get results. I was really impressed with the high calibre of training for strategy and game knowledge that was a key part of program. More importantly there was equal treatment and attention for every player coupled with great personal encouragement and individualized training. Hard to accomplish but Sanjeev makes it seem easy. Kristi tells me she enjoyed every session, she learned a tremendous amount about soccer. Kristi needs constant challenge and thrives in a competitive environment and in this program she was provided with 100 % of the challenge and stimulation that is a natural part of her make up.
MEAGHAN & THOMAS BISSETT, Nepean City Storm / Ottawa Fury Academy 1 & Parmar +20 Boys, Under 13
January 25, 2007 Our younger son and daughter have attended Sanjeev's sessions and camps for the past three years now. Both Thomas's and Meaghan's soccer skills and fitness have improved notably every year, in large part to these well run and imaginative programs. Still the most impressive part for us is, after many years, how much both children look forward to each week's sessions, a true testament to the fun they have while developing as better athletes.
AMY SAVAGE, Ontario Provincial Team, U 15
December 25, 2006 "Training with Sanjeev over the past few years, has definitely amplified my game. He took the time to help me out before I went down to Toronto for my provincial try-outs. I was rewarded with his patience when I finally got the drill, and more importantly, in the short-term, a spot on the U-15 provincial team. Sanjeev is always concerned with player development. All the technical drills and goofy games inspire confidence in everyone. Working with Sanjeev, one quickly learns what true passion really is. You can call him a mentor, a big brother, coach, a technical advisor, or just Jeevs, it doesn't matter, just call him."
DAMIEM MERRETTE , Canadian U15 National Team,
November 27, 2006 No doubt that Sanjeev's training helped me to become a better soccer player. I learned a lot from his advices and drills and I always appreciate his enthusiam about the game. I was lucky to have him in Ottawa.
LAUREN HUGHES, Ontario Provincial(National Champions), Region 5, Under 14 Team
November 11, 2006 Sanjeev has made me such a better player over the past few years. He's been working with me individually and in small groups over the past year, and I've improved a lot, especially my kick. In my individual sessions he always pushed me to my limit, but not to far. He has helped me train, and I think the reason that I was chosen to try and made the Region 5 program (the best players in the Eastern On

October 28, 2006 "I have had the pleasure to play and work with Sanjeev. He is passionate about soccer and committed to helping others that share their enthusium toward the game. His approach is unique, challanging, high energy, and most importantly enjoyable. Great skills, concepts and fun summerize his program. Sanj is preparing soccer players with tools to succeed and this is appreciated by the kids and parents that enjoy soccer. A huge complement for Sanj is that my kids can't wait until the next session."
JULIA FRANCKI, Girls Regional Cumberland United Soccer and Region 5, Under 13
October 24, 2006 Sanjeev has helped me become a better soccer player. He has been helping my team improve for a couple years and I know everyone on my team has improved a lot with his help. His training sessions are always fun; we play games and work on different aspects of soccer but most of all we learn many moves. I have learned so many different moves over the years with Sanjeev. Sanjeev is very enthousiastic about soccer and it shows as he spends most of his summer running camps and training sessions for many age groups. He has been a big help for me as I am not very big for my age; but with the skills Sanjeev has taught me, I can beat players who are much bigger and stronger than me. This fall/winter I made the Region 5 team (the best players in the Eastern Ontario Region). I believe that Sanjeev helped me get there. I am looking forward to working with him again this summer.
LAURA CALLENDER, Nepean City, U12 Girls and Region 5
October 21, 2006 Our daughter Laura, has attended several Parmar soccer clinics since she was nine years old and these have hugely contributed to developing her passion for the sport. It is understandable that young girls will look forward to skill sessions being demonstrated by such a charismatic footballer and will push themselves to the max to emulate these abilities, however, it is incredible that they also look forward to and crave the gruelling hard work of the strength and fitness sessions. It is Sanjeev's committment to improving and inspiring these young athletes that will keep us coming back for more and more and more.
NICK ARCURI, Cumberland United Soccer Club, Under 11 boys
September 15, 2006 Ever since my son Nicholas met Sanjeev Parmar and his staff, his passion for soccer has rapidly grown. Nicholas enjoys the fun challenges given by Sanjeev. It is fulfilling for a boy to have the encouragement of a Pro soccer player. Sanjeev's method of training and positive re-enforcement are evident when playing the game. Hard work leads to success and Sanjeev, along with his staff, have truly dedicated themselves to inspiring young athletes
FRANK LOFRANCO, Coach of W-League Ottawa Fury and Former Professional Player, U
July 7, 2006 Sanjeev Parmar's approach to player development is modern and effective. Beyond understanding the important aspects of player development, he is able to share his knowledge, ability and passion in a way that captures the imagination of young players and accelerates the learning process. The evidence is in the smiles and enthusiasm of the players as they work with Sanjeev and his staff of quality coaches. As a parent, you can't ask for more
PIERRE CANTAVE, CSA National Referee and coach for Capital United Football Club, U
May 23, 2006 "As a referee, I have seen many players perform on a soccer field and I must say that very few possess the speed, agility and ball control of Sanjeev Parmar. To have Sanjeev coach individual skills and ball controls to my two sons, to me is not only a privilege but also a blessing. I must confess that when I get a chance to attend the sessions I am envious of my boys. Any parents with kids who are passionate about the game of soccer and dream of taking it to a serious level, MUST enroll their kids with Parmar Sports Training."
MATTHEW WEBB, Houghton College Men's Soccer Coach, http://www.houghton.edu
May 18, 2006 Sanjeev Parmar is an superb trainer. His commitment to excellence and hard work is second to none. His energy level is unmatched by any other trainer I have ever seen. His love for the game comes through loud and clear with his passion for the game and his command for perfection. In addition to his expertise as a player and trainer, he absolutely loves kids and with his efforvescent personality they are drawn to him like white on rice. It is because of his sincere love for children that kids succeed when working with Sanjeev. If I had my way (and lived closer), I would have all of my own five children work with him.
DWIGHT HORNIBROOK, Coach of University of Cortland and former member of Canadian Men's National Team Coaching Staff, U
April 17, 2006 Sanjeev Parmar has an unmatched passion for soccer and the development of the players he works with. Having coached Sanj and seeing first hand the magic he brings to the field I am completely convinced that he will improve the performance of anyone who has the commitment and determination to work hard. He has all the right tools to train youngsters as well as top professionals and knows the quality required to succeed. Most importantly Sanjeev takes his role as a mentor and a leader very seriously and has experinced all the highs and lows sport experience offers. This fact, combined with his tremendous talent makes him very special indeed.

MEGHAN SPRING, girls Kanata Soccer Club, U19
March 19, 2006 The first time I met Sanjeev was at a week-long soccer camp with my team, about 4 years ago. I could tell right off the bat that he knew his stuff. He had the moves, let me tell you – he could beat all of us, every time. I promised myself, then and there, that the day would come when I would be able to stop him – I would figure out how the ball stuck to his feet like magic and how, just when I was certain that I finally had him, he would twist/flick – and I was left without the ball, stumped. Since then, I've taken Sanjeev's strength and agility program, as well as his ball mastery program, numerous times. I go because Sanjeev's the best there is – and I sincerely mean that. Not just because he's sickeningly good at soccer, but because you can tell that he as well as everybody who works with him, they really love what they do. They're always there to clap when you've done something right, or take you aside and help you when you've gotten it wrong, and, no matter what, they encourage you to do things just a little bit better, a little bit faster. My personal fitness level has gone way up, without a doubt. My little brother takes lessons from Sanjeev too, and he thinks Sanj's just about the coolest guy ever. It must be doing something, because my brother's gotten…well, good . Really good. As in, … (almost)… better than me. He recently tried out for, and made, the Ottawa regional squad. At home, my brother and I play around in the hallway with mini soccer balls, usually trying to beat each other with the latest of Sanjeev's tricks. It drives our mom absolutely crazy. I still can't beat Sanjeev. But now, during a game, I'll get the ball and my feet will know exactly what to do with it. Is it magic? No – it's those little things that Sanjeev's had me practice over and over and over – first touch, look around, move to space, know your options, communicate, don't forget that first touch…and so on until these things seems as natural and as inherent to me as breathing. So maybe I still can't beat Sanjeev. But rest assured I'm workin' on it, I'm workin' on it. ; )
JESSICA SKODINSKY, Cumberland United Soccer Club, Parmar+20, & Region 5, Under 11 girls

Our daughter Jessica, age 10, has improved immensely over the past two years. The training programs are well planned and always positive. Her abilities and skills have improved, but more important is her love for the game continues to grow. Sanjeev's enthusiasm for the sport is truly inspiring and is reflected in his teachings."

May 27, 2004 "My daughter Stacy has always been a good technical speed-skater The SAQ training has really helped her round out her performance, and she has taken her skating to a new level. The dramatic improvement in her starts is directly a result of the drills from SAQ."
NATALIE CULLEN , University of Cape Breton, 2003 AUS MVP and First Team All-Canadian, Nova Scotia
November 7, 2003 "I thought I was physically prepared for the university season and needed the preseason training camp for some extra touches on the ball. However, I soon found out otherwise when I met Sanjeev. The three days of vigorous training was a well needed wake up call for an indication of the hard work it would take to win a championshiop. Although the training wasn't easy, Sanjeev had an enthusiastic way of instructing the program that actually made working hard fun and rewarding at the end of they day. It was a motiviational beginner to the beginning of our season."
NESS TIMMONS, Canadian National Team Coach for World University Games 2003 and University of Cape Breton Women's Soccer, Nova Scotia
